Both teams started the match well, and a 15-13 first period score evidenced how equal things were. Barça's defence were solid, but they didn't have too many options at the basket themselves, however, Orihuela's accuracy eventually tipped the scoreboard in Barça's favour.
Though the hosts staged a quick fightback, two free throws by Higgins, a triple by Mirotic and another by Orihuela turned the match upside down. By half-time, there was still no splitting the sides: 32-32.
Barça pick up the pace
The visitors began to pull away in the third quarter thanks to some great play from Kuric. A 10-point gap (43-53) allowed Barça some margin for error, but their success in the rebound allowed them to further extend the lead and meant they went into the final period 15 points ahead (52-67).
San Pablo Burgos had no answer to Barça's perfect play at both ends, and a third away win in a week was assured. Next up are Bayern Munich in the Euroleague (Friday, April 9, 9.00pm CEST) before a domestic El Clásico again Real Madrid.
