Arrival at Barça: On August 29, 2018 he signed for Barça B, from Boston River in Montevideo. In the 2020/21 season he was promoted to Barça's first team.

Ronald Araujo continues to grow with the first team. He made his debut last season and ended up playing six matches, but it was this year, with a promotion to the first team, that he began to find himself in Koeman's lineups more often. 

Despite suffering some injuries that sidelined him for a few weeks, the Uruguayan centre-back has already played 23 games this season and has scored a single goal - in the league match against Valencia.
