Barça 98-68 Movistar Estudiantes: Blaugrana storm

A massive win on Tuesday including the highest scoring first half since 1994/95

Tuesday brought a fabulous win at the Palau Blaugrana against Movistar Estudiantes by no fewer than 30 points. Barça were outstanding in the first half, when most of the job was already done, and the result means a place in the playoffs is already a mathematical certainty.

It was three almost straight threes from Mirotic that set the rollercoaster in action, and the 33-15 lead at the end of the first period was simply staggering.

Kuric, Bolmaro and Westermann kept the points flowing in the second, with the Catalans going +25 and scoring 64 points in a first half for the first time since the 95/96 season.

The scoring eased off considerably in the third (Barça only scored 13 points), but there was no way back for Estudiantes who failed to capitalise and actually found themselves trailing by even more.

Abrines, Pustovyi and Smits all got chances to shine towards the end in a game that had no further story to tell. Next up is Alba Berlin in the Euroleague on Friday (9.00pm CET) and a Liga Endesa game with Urbas Fuenlabrada on Sunday (12:30pm CET).
