Barça 11–2 Mataró: Goal fest at the Palau

Edu Castro's men were on fire in the first game after the Super Cup

In the first match after winning the Super Cup, Mataró made a guard of honour for Barça before the match to acknowledge the title win. It took Pablo Alvarez six minutes to make it 1-0 (min 6), and from then, Barça were unstoppable. Joao Rodrigues quickly made it two, Bargalló grabbed the third in the 18th minute and Helder Nunes added another before the break (4-0, min 25).

Lead extended

In the second half Sergi Panadero soon made it 5-0, before Mataró reacted in a one-on-one situation and Oriol Lladó scored 5-1 (min 29). Just three minutes later Pablo Alvarez restored parity (6-1, min 32) before Cantero got another back for the visitors. 6-2. That was to be their last chance, however. Llorca, Bargalló, Helder Nunes, Pablo Alvarez and Matias Pascual all bagged late goals without reply to take Barça into double figures.
