Cornellà 0-1 Barça B: Superb away win

The Catalans won a hard-fought match at one of the most difficult grounds in the league

A vital victory for Barça B, as the Catalans beat Cornellà 0-1 thanks to a free kick by Alex Collado in what was the last game of 2020 for the reserves. A second consecutive victory, and their first away from the Johan Cruyff Stadium, sees the team end the year in fourth place in the league, tied with Lleida on 13 points.

Great goal

The match began in the best possible way for the visitors, and in their first dangerous attack, the first goal arrived: a spectacular free kick by Alex Collado (0- 1, minute 14). The hosts tried to react, but found themselves up against a good Barça defence, who wouldn't allow them any clear chances to score. Rey Manaj and Ilaix Moriba went close for Garcia Pimienta's team just before the break but were out of luck.

In the second half, Barça remained very solid at the back with Konrad and Jandro Orellana almost grabbing a second for the blaugranes. The game turned a little feisty with a flurry of yellow cards, but it made no difference to pattern of play or the final score.
