Casademont Zaragoza 85-97 Barça: Deserved victory

Jasikevicius' side earn another victory in the domestic competition thanks to a decisive third quarter

A ninth win in 11 games in the domestic competition, as Barça earned a deserved victory from their visit to Casademont Zaragoza (85-97). The match remained even until the break (42-41), but the third period ended up being decisive for the outcome of the match. Higgins, with 17 points, was Barça's top scorer.

Equal first half

The match started with a constant exchange of baskets which set the tone for the first 10 minutes of play (24-22). The second quarter saw much the same intensity from both sides and at half-time, there was just a point in it (42-41).

Excellent

Barça's third quarter was excellent, Jasikevicius' side outscoring their hosts by 10-29, which allowed the Catalans to begin the last quarter 18 points ahead (52-70). Higgins drove Barça forward, and even when the visitors' lead was reduced to only 10 points (64-74), Barça had enough in the tank to react and close out the match.
