Barça 3-4 Peñíscola: A lack of accuracy hurts Barça

The Catalans lost by one in the first game of the league season in a match where Molina, the visiting goalkeeper, was key

Defeat in the opening match at the Palau as Barça lost against Peñíscola (3-4). A great performance from visiting goalkeeper, Molina, and Barça's lack of accuracy, saw three points escape the blaugranes despite Ferraro's hat-trick.

Fast start

The match started frantically, with three goals in the first two minutes of play. Ferrao put Barcelona ahead 14 seconds into the game, but the visitors quickly turned the score around with two goals from Rahali (1-1, min. 2) and Paniagua (1-2, min. 3).

The Catalans had clear opportunities to draw level, but Walex took the visitors further ahead (1-3, min. 6). With 15 seconds to go before the break, Ferrao ended the half as he'd began it to make it 2-3.

Molina saved countless Barça chances again until Ferrao grabbed his hat-trick (3-3, min. 26) with a good long throw. Two minutes later, however, Paniagua scored the goal which would prove to be the winner.
