Agreement with Villarreal for the transfer of Jorge Cuenca

The La Liga club will pay 2.5 million euros plus 4 more in variables whilst Barça retain a buy back option and 20% of any future sale

FC Barcelona and Villarreal CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of central defender Jorge Cuenca. The La Liga club will pay FC Barcelona 2.5 million euros plus 4 more in variables. Barça retain a buy back option and 20% of any future sale of the player. 

FC Barcelona would like to thank publicly Jorge Cuenca for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best for the future.

Jorge Cuenca came to FC Barcelona for the 2017/18 season from Alcorcón. The defender played a total of 65 games for Barça B, scoring three goals, one of which against Nàstic was the first ever in official competition in the new Estadi Johan Cruyff. Cuenca made his first team debut in the Copa del Rey on 31 October 2018 against Cultural Leonesa playing 61 minutes in a 1-0 victory.
