One more for Messi's collection

Goal against Napoli means the Argentinian has now scored against a record 35 teams in the Champions League

Leo Messi found the net against Napoli in Saturday’s Champions League encounter, and that means he has now scored against a quite remarkable 35 different teams in the competition. It goes without saying that that is a tournament record…

He’s scored against teams from Germany, Spain, France, England, Italy, Portugal and even Belarus, Cyprus, Denmark and Ukraine. In fact, of the forty teams the Argentinian has met over the years, only five (Rubin Kazan, Atlético Madrid, Benfica, Udinese and Inter Milan) have escaped unscathed.

Cristiano Ronaldo is next on the list with 34 ‘victims,’ then comes Raul González with 33, while Karim Benzema and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have 29.

His number one target over the years has been Arsenal, with nine goals in six games, followed by AC Milan and Celtic (8 each).
