Arnau Tenas renews through to 2023

The goalkeeper will remain at FC Barcelona for the next three seasons, with an option for two more campaigns and a buyout clause of 100 million euros

FC Barcelona iand Under-19s A team goalkeeper Arnau Tenas have reached an agreement for a contract extension through to 2023, with an option for a further two years. His buyout clause has been set at 100 million euros.

Tenas signed his contract at the Estadi Johan Cruyff alongside Barça B director Xavier Vilajoana and technical secretary Eric Abidal.

Blaugrana since 2010

Arnau Tenas, born in Vic 19 years ago, joined Baça in 2010 from Vic Riuprimer REFO. He has won titles with the Under-13s C (2011/12), Under-13s A (2012/13), Under-14s B (2013/14), Under-16s B (2015/16), Under-16s A (2016/17), Under-19s B (2017/18) and Under-19s A (2019/20) teams. In 2017/18 he was third choice goalkeeper in the Final Four in Nyon, where the Under-19s A team won the second UEFA Youth League.

Tenas debuted for Barça B, under Garcia Pimienta, on March 19 2019 in a Segunda División B game at the Miniestadi against Teruel. At international level he won a gold medal with the Spain Under-19s in the European Championships in 2019, being named in the Team Of The Tournament.

This season he has been the first choice goalkeeper for the Under-19s A team at FC Barcelona, as well as training regularly with Barça B. Tenas was also in the first team squad that travelled to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup.
