Jaume Carreter becomes new member of Board of Directors

The decision has been taken by the FC Barcelona board in a video-meeting on Tuesday

The FC Barcelona Board of Directors convened in an ordinary meeting via videocall on Tuesday. Besides taking the decision to give the title rights of the Camp Nou to the Barça Foundation for the fight against COVID-19, those present also agreed upon the following:

Incorporation of a new member of the Board of Directors

As proposed by president Josep Maria Bartomeu, the incorporation of Jaume Carreter Felip as a new member of the Board of Directors was approved. He will assume responsibility for amateur sports at the club.

Born in 1960, Carreter has been an FC Barcelona member since 2009, with membership number104.361. An economist and businessman, he runs a platform specialising in human resources and finance, with several offices in the Vallès area of Catalonia. Since 2015 he has been part of the club's Social Committee, as the coordinator of non-professional sport.

The Board also nominated Dr. Joan Bladé as director in charge of the coordination of all actions and measures to be carried out to combat the effects of the COVID-19 coronavirus on the club.

Ratification of agreements made in the previous meeting

The Board of Directors also ratified the agreements approved in the ordinary meeting held on April 13 2020.
