Another wonderful weekend

Not only did all the professional teams win their games, but they also won two trophies

In forty-eight hours of non-stop success, every one of the professional teams won their games at the weekend, and also added two titles to the ever-increasing collection.

It all started with the football beating Real Sociedad 1-0, and from then on the wins didn’t stop flowing. Every team celebrated success apart from the women’s football team, who didn’t play due to the competition taking a break.

Football: Barça 1-0 Real Sociedad

A difficult test at Camp Nou was resolved by Leo Messi from the penalty spot, and coupled with Real Madrid’s loss to Betis on Sunday, means the team are back at the top of the Liga table.

Futsal: Valdepeñas 3-4 Barça

Barça won the Spanish Cup for the fifth time and the second in a row this Sunday in a tight final that wasn’t decided until the final seconds. That’s the second trophy of the campaign for a team that already had the Spanish Super Cup in the bag.

Handball: Barça 40-25 Benidorm

Xavi Pascual got to celebrate his birthday with the club’s 24th Copa del Rey, won by a fabulous display in the final against Benidorm in Madrid..

Basketball: Estudiantes 67-74 Barça

The basketball team were in Madrid too, and collected their fifteenth win in a row in the ACB and Euroleague combined. Barça top the Liga Endesa table (19-4) after fighting back from 11 points down.

Roller hockey: Barça 8-0 CP Vic

This massive win made it a record 24 in a row in the OK Liga, beating a record dating all the way back to 1983/84 (23), and also by FC Barcelona.

Football: Barça B 3-2 Llagostera

Barça B are now second in the table after winning this cracking game with Llagostera. They had gone 2-1 down, but two late goals sealed victory, Ilaix Moriba getting the winner just four minutes from the end.
