Movistar Estudiantes 67-74 Barça: Third win in five days

Blaugrana go 19-4 in the Liga Endesa to round off a wonderful week

Barça are 19-4 and still top of the Liga Endesa after fighting back from -11 to win at Movistar Estudiantes with Mirotic and Hanga (17 and 14) leading the scoring. With two wins against German opposition in the Euroleague this week as well, it been an intense but successful five days.

Estudiantes, boosted by two threes from Scrubb had taken the early initiative to lead 17-11. And with seven 3-pointers in the first half, they extended that lead to 31-20 before a 6-0 streak from the Catalans tightened things up again.

From there on, Barça slowly chopped away at the margin, and three from Oriola and Abrines finally got them in front on the half hour mark.

Errors then started slipping into both teams’ games, but a 4-0 streak for the home side meant Barça were going to need to find something at the last. And they did, with Hanga and Kuric converting threes to set up what would be the match-winning lead.

Next up in the Liga Endesa is San Pablo Burgos at the Palau on Sunday (8.00pm CET), but before that there’s a European tie, also at home, versus Zalgiris on Friday (9.00pm CET).
