A suprise from England for Helder Nunes

A suprise from England for Helder Nunes

A group of British roller hockey fans come to see Barça v Sarzana in support of their favourite player

Helder Nunes received a very welcome surprise on Sunday for Barça's 7-1 win over Sarzana. The Barça roller hockey player was cheered on by a group of fans in the stands who had come all the way from the United Kingdom to support the Portuguese star and had even had specially made t-shirts created for the occasion. A visibly impressed Nunes told Barça TV after the game: "It was a great surprise to see them in the stands with the t-shirts. It was really exciting for me."

Once the game was over, Helder Nunes went to greet the fans and had his photo taken with them wearing the shirt (letter H) that they had given to him as a gift. Some of the travelling fans are roller hockey players themselves and members of the England national team. Nunes had befriended several of the group during training campus' given in England or during international contests between England and Portugal.

Nunes is currently enjoying one of his best seasons as a professional with 24 goals to his name so far for Barça in the 2019/20 season.
