Santiago Ramos Mingo joins Barça B

The 18 year old joins the club on a free transfer, signing for three seasons with the option of an additional two more

FC Barcelona have signed defender Santiago Ramos Mingo to join the Barça B team. The 18 year old Argentinian centre back arrives on a free transfer from Boca Juniors, signing a three-year deal with a buyout clause of 60 million euros -rising to 100 million euros should he make it to the first team.

The player has passed a medical and was presented on Tuesday at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, in an event attended by Barça B head Silvio Elias and technical secretary Jose Mari Bakero.

 

Santiago Mingo Ramos

Born in Cordoba, Argentina on November 21, 2001, Santiago Mingo Ramos was trained in the youth setup at Atalaya. He made the move to Boca Juniors in 2015. Despite his young age, he is a left sided centre back with plenty of character, positional awareness and strong aerial play. He has played for the Boca Juniors reserves over the last season, as well as two friendlies for the first team, and been included in Copa Libertadores squads.
