Barça 82–86 Anadolu Efes: No luck in an open game

Svetislav Pesic's team were unlucky in a match where they played a great second half but couldn't overhaul their opponents

Barça couldn't earn another Euroleague victory and fell to Anadolu Efes (82-86). Svetislav Pesic's men had a great second half, however, the visitors won the game in the final seconds of the match. Brandon Davies, with 20 points, was Barça's leading scorer.

The match began with an inspired Shane Larkin making it 0-5, but Barca were able to react quickly. By the end of the first period, Anadolu Efes had pulled away slightly again (19-24). The hosts fought back once more and after three consecutive three-pointers, they'd managed to turn the game around (32-31, min 15).

Davies, the benchmark in the third period

With the game remaining very even at all times, baskets were continually exchanged, until a quick burst from the visitors saw them surge ahead (58-66). In the last period, the Barça players scored 14 without reply in the opening stages, mainly thanks to Kuric. Barça were ahead (75-68, min 37), but Anadolu Efes equalised again, and heading into the last minute of the game it was all square, (79-79). A three-pointer in the last seconds from the visitors saw a final score of 82-86.
