The last session of the year

After returning to work on Sunday, December 29, Ernesto Valverde's squad trained for the final time in 2019 on Tuesday morning. There have been four sessions to prepare for the match against Espanyol on January 5, before a rest this Wednesday and a return to training on Thursday afternoon. The available players from the first team worked out on Pitch 2 of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Tuesday morning. M. Wague trained with the group again after not having done so for a few days due to conjunctivitis, whilst Iñaki Peña, R. Araujo, O. Mingueza, Collado, Riqui Puig, C. Pérez and Ansu Fati from Barça B made up the numbers.

The first training session of 2020 will be Thursday, January 2, at 5.00pm CET, the penultimate workout before the derby. That session will also see the return of Suárez, Messi and Vidal, the south American players that have been absent for the last few days.
