Top of the group for 13 seasons in a row

With the 3-1 win against Borussia, Ernesto Valverde’s team have assured themselves of first place in Group F of the Champions League

For the 13th season in a row FC Barcelona will end the group stage of the Champions League in first place. The 3-1 victory against Borussia Dortmund on Matchday five at Camp Nou has assured the blaugranes top sport ahead of the Germans, Inter Milan and Slavia Prague.

Ernesto Valverde’s side will travel to the Guiseppe Meazza stadium in the last game of the group stage with their place in the draw for the last 16 already booked and having topped group F, they will have the second leg of their tie in the knockout stage at Camp Nou. As a result they will avoid fellow confirmed group winners Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Juventus. However, the blaugranes instead could face Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur as they are the only confirmed eligible second place rival that could be paired with when the draw takes place on Monday 16 December.
