Svetislav Pesic's side squeezed past a combative Betis (95-100) after having played on Friday in Kaunas, in a match that was notable for the 36 triples scored between both teams, equaling the competition record.
Both scored well in the opening minutes, where a constant exchange of baskets meant a 23-28 score at the end of the first period. Success from the triple line marked the first 20 minutes of the match, Betis going into the break with nine triples and Barça with eight (45-48).
Barça were able to maintain the advantage, but Betis continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over with Rivers (18), Enechionyia (24) and Slaughter (24) finding baskets easy to come by. Though the visitors stayed out in front, the hosts made them work for every point, and the win wasn't secured until the very end of the game.
