The Andalusians went ahead early with a goal by David Leal, before some consistent pressure from the visitors resulted in Giasson putting the ball into his own goal, getting Barça back into the match. Within a minute, César had put Córdoba back in front, but the last five minutes of the first half saw the hosts commit five fouls and allow Barça to tie the game again, this time from Ferrao.
Sergio Lozano, who finally debuted after an injury ruled him out for the first six weeks, was immense after the break. He, along with Ferrao and Adolfo (2), handed Barça the win.
