Casademont Zaragoza 89–83 Barça: Second defeat in the ACB

The 21 points from Mirotic and Davies are not enough to win a difficult match

Barça were unable to return from Zaragoza with a win in the ACB League, after the hosts dominated the rhythm of the game and were more effective at the basket (89-83). Even 21 points from Mirotic and Davies weren't enough against a team that have started the season in sensational fashion.

Zaragoza's superb defence made attacking difficult for Barça, though Pesic's side were still in touch at the end of the first quarter (23-17, min 10). Tomic reduced the deficit, but Zaragoza, thanks to the leadership of Alocen, ended the first half ahead 46-40.

Despite a triple from Mirotic, the locals responded with an 18-4 partial, sending them 15 points clear (64-49, min 25). Davies, with nine points in the final stretch of the third period (71-61, min 30), slowed Zaragoza's progress, and four points from Higgins (78-75, min 37) brought the visitors back to within striking distance.

However, the locals, roared on by their supporters, gave one final push and managed to pull away again to secure the victory.
