Suárez and Junior Firpo in squad for Valencia game

Ernesto Valverde named a 20-man squad for FC Barcelona's Saturday night fixture against Valencia, with Luis Suárez and Junior Firpo included

FC Barcelona play their second home game of the season this weekend, kicking off a busy run of fixtures. The Blaugrana meet Valencia on Saturday night (Camp Nou, 9pm CEST), just days before a Champions League encounter with Borussia Dortmund.

Coach Ernesto Valverde has named the following 20-man squad for the LaLiga contest:

Ter Stegen, N. Semedo, Piqué, I. Rakitic, Sergio, Todibo, Arthur, Suárez, Lenglet, M. Wague, Griezmann, Jordi Alba, Aleñá, S. Roberto, F. De Jong, Vidal, Junior, Iñaki Peña, C. Pérez and Ansu Fati. Out through injury are Messi, O. Dembélé, Neto and Umtiti.

Umtiti set for between 5 and 6 weeks out

The Frenchman continued his recovery process on Friday, and a new test diagnosed him with a small fracture to the second metatarsal of his right foot. He is set to be sidelined for 5-6 weeks.

Novelties in the final session

The team trained for the final time before the match in a Friday evening session, in which Neto ran through drills with the group -albeit without medical clearance to return to action.  Iñaki Peña and Carles Pérez, from Barça B, and Ansu Fati of the Under-19s A side, also featured in the session. Luis Suárez and Junior Firpo received the all-clear from doctors to play this weekend, and were included in the squad list.
