Agreement with Valencia for transfer of Jasper Cillessen

Valencia will pay €35m for the Dutch goalkeeper, who leaves FC Barcelona after three seasons in which he played 32 games and won five titles

FC Barcelona and Valencia CF have agreed to terms for the transfer of the player Jasper Cillessen. Valencia will pay FC Barcelona €35m.

FC Barcelona would like to publicly express its gratitude to Jasper Cillessen for his commitment and dedication, and wishes him the best of luck and success in the future.

5 titles and 32 games

Thus, Jasper Cillessen leaves FC Barcelona following three seasons defending the blaugrana colors. The Dutch goalkeeper arrived from Ajax in the summer of 2016, coinciding with Luis Enrique’s final season as manager, and spent the following two seasons under the orders of Ernesto Valverde.

In the three years, Cillessen played a total of 32 games: five in La Liga, three in the Champions League, and 24 in the Copa del Rey, in which he was the regular goalkeeper. The Dutchman won five titles at Barça: 2x La Liga, 2x Copa del Rey, and 1x Spanish Super Cup.
