The BPA celebrates its Annual Dinner with 400 people

The FC Barcelona President, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and the Councillor to the President, Neus Munté, led the group of attending authorities at a dinner where a lip dub starring over 100 BPA members was shown.

The Barça Players’ Association (BPA) held its traditional Annual Dinner on Friday, 11th of November, with almost 400 people attending; amongst them were ex-players and the rest of the BPA members and their accompanying guests. The FC Barcelona President, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and the Councillor to the President, Neus Munté, were the authorities who presided over an evening which served to reinforce the relationship between Barça and its ex-players, and also to show the vitality of the BPA. The Club’s delegation was completed by Vice President Jordi Cardoner, and the Directors Jordi Moix, Silvio Elias, Pau Vilanova, the CEO Òscar Grau and ex-President Agustí Montal.

Masía 360, a new project with the participation of the BPA

President Bartomeu explained that the Masía 360 project had a high level of implication on the part of the Club’s ex-players. “The project”, Bartomeu said, “aims to take advantage of all the knowledge that Barça have accumulated over decades, in order to be of benefit to all the players, coaches, educators, families and the player’s surroundings.”  The President added that “when a player leaves, we must continue to follow them so that they can one day return to help the Club become greater every day. We need your help; within a few years we’ll see a Barça where the majority of professional positions are held by our ex-players, who have the knowledge which can make the Club bigger and more efficient.” Ramon Alfonseda showed his satisfaction that the Club “counts on the Association as an active part of Masía 360, we are the true representatives of FC Barcelona and its values, and history tells us that we should always be together”.

Councillor Munté, daughter of the Barça ex-player Ferran Munté, remembered “the times when I came to these dinners with my parents, that’s why I don’t feel like guest, I feel like a part of this family”.
