Luis Suárez out for 4-6 weeks

The Barça number 9 has undergone surgery on a medial meniscus injury in his right knee

The first team player Luis Suárez has a medial meniscus injury in his right knee and has been operated on by Dr.Cugat, undergoing arthroscopic surgery under the supervision of the Club's medical staff. The Uruguayan will be out for around four to six weeks.

As such, the FC Barcelona striker will miss the three remaining fixtures this season, the league games against Getafe and Eibar and the Copa del Rey final against Valencia on 25 May in Seville. 

25 goals in 49 matches 

Luis Suárez has once again been in great from this season, scoring 25 goals (21 in the league, 3 in the Copa del Rey and 1 in the Champions League) in the 2018/19 season leaving only Leo Messi ahead of the man from Salto in the club's scoring charts. 

The striker was outstanding in scoring a hat-trick in the Clásico victory over Real Madrid at Camp Nou and on 23 April this year he scored his 131st goal in the league, equalling Ladislau Kubala on the all time list.
