Barça get back to winning ways with a triumph in the Canary Islands

Barça Lassa cruised past Herbalife Gran Canaria, 97-77, on Sunday night in Liga ACB action. The Catalans used stifling defense and timely shooting in playing with a double digit lead for most of the game. The win keeps Barça Lassa in first place.

Barça got off to a hot start and took a 21-13 lead by the end of the first quarter, a lead they stretched to 49-32 by halftime. 

But Herbalife Gran Canaria got to within 13 points in the third quarter before Thomas Heurtel caught fire. Heurtel scored 20 points and dished out seven assists on his way to being named the ACB's Player of the Round. The Frenchman's play allowed Barça Lassa to stretch their lead to 27 at one point (73-46).

 The win moves Barça to 24-6 on the season, the same record as Real Madrid.
