Charity auction of FC Barcelona first team's Replay suits

The FCB Foundation, Replay and Make-a-Wish® International join forces to make dreams come true for children around the world suffering from serious illnesses

The FC Barcelona Foundation and FC Barcelona Official Partner Replay have set up the Suit Up to Help Grant Wishes charity auction to raise money for Make-A-Wish® International. Anyone is invited to make a bid for the Replay garments and accessories worn by the first team in the 2013/14 season.

The auction is open from June 1 to 17 at makeawish.vonality.com and the items on offer have been divided into lots corresponding to players like Messi, Neymar Jr, Iniesta and Piqué, with include jackets, shirts, ties, trousers and much more.

The aim of the initiative is to raise money to make dreams come true for hundreds of children around the world that are suffering from serious illnesses. The FC Barcelona Foundation and Make-A-Wish® International have been working together for years and have already answered the wishes of more than 200 children around the world. Most of these have involved meeting Barça stars and attending matches or training sessions. The money raised will be used to cover transport and accommodation for the children, who often come from countries that are very far away.

The FC Barcelona Foundation is firmly committed to children, and especially those in delicate health. Projects like this help to boost their emotional welfare, and to do this the Foundation works hand in hand with the first team players and staff, who all make sure that the children’s wishes become unforgettable memories.

Make-A-Wish® works with seriously sick children in almost 50 countries around the world. Since 1980, it has granted more than 350,000 wishes that have changed the lives of so many children and their families in times of desperate need.

Statement by Jordi Cardoner, first vice-president of FC Barcelona

“One of the FC Barcelona Foundation’s most endearing and sensitive roles in that of making dreams come true for children in vulnerable situations. Thanks to Replay’s commitment, this charity auction will help us to continue working with Make-a-Wish International to make Barça the club for children around the world”.

Statement by Matteo Sinigaglia, CEO of Replay

"We have appreciated the incredible importance of our relationship with FC Barcelona ever since it started: the fact that this now also gives us the chance to help Make-A-Wish in its delicate and impacting effort to grant wishes to children that suffer from serious illnesses makes us even prouder. We are delighted to be able to help”.

Statement by Jon Stettner, president and International CEO of Make-A-Wish

"A desire to have a profound, long-lasting impact on everyone involved. The granting of wishes changes lives and that would not be possible without the support of organisations and individuals like FC Barcelona and Replay and its global network of impassioned fans”a
