Barça Women 6–0 Málaga CF: Top class performance

Barça Women wiped with floor with Málaga CF, winning 6-0 on Pitch 7 of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Mariona in the first half, and five goals (Alexia, Duggan, Marta T., Andressa (2)) in an excellent second half, ensured a comfortable victory. With those three points the Catalans lead the League table, and may stay there pending the outcome of Atlético Madrid's result against Sporting Huelva.

Mariona finished an assist from Alexia inside the area to open the scoring, but the joy of the goal was eclipsed by the injury to Losada, who had to be replaced in the 27th minute. After the break, the Catalans really showed off their offensive power.

Goals, goals, goals!

María León hit the crossbar in the 50th minute, and just four minutes later, Alexia had scored with a powerful shot and Toni Duggan had added a third. That allowed Lluís Cortés to rest key players, and the substitutes ended up playing a key role. Andonova, who came on in the 60th minute, assisted Marta T. for the fourth on 72.

Another sub, Andressa Alves, scored the fifth after taking advantage of Chelsea's spilled save from Hamraoui, and the same player bagged a late sixth to round off a great afternoon.
