Twenty-fifth FCBEscola to be installed in Guatemala

Guatemala City will be home to the twenty-fifth FCBEscola from the beginning of 2017. As a result, Guatemala becomes the fourth country in Latin America after Brazil, Peru and the Dominican Republic to have a branch of the Barcelona school.

FC Barcelona’s relations with the Central American nation began in 2014, when FCBCamps got underway, which this November reach their third edition. The works for the conditioning of the facility, which will have capacity to accommodate a total of 250 students, will start next week on land located on the road to El Salvador.

Silvia Carazo, head of the local business Escuela GT Fraijames, who will be in charge of implementing the FCBEscola, said that “due to the large number of FC Barcelona fans in Guatemala we proposed to the club to open a school following its methodology and knowledge about the best style of football. We have been working on it for a year and we are very excited to have received approval for this project by the Board of the Club”.
