Pau Vilanova with the Cordoba supporters’ clubs

Supporters’ Clubs from the Cordoba region enjoyed a reception with the Barça delegation on Wednesday in the run-up to the Cup game against Cordoba CF. Local fans gave the Barça party a warm welcome back to the city after an absence of some forty years.

Pau Vilanova, the Board member in charge of the Social Commission, joined more than 80 local supporters’ club members from nearly twenty clubs who attended the reception in the Hotel NH Amistad. He thanked everyone present for their warm welcome. Also present at the reception were Rafel Pichardo and Tomás Martinez, representing supporters’ clubs from West and Central Andalusia. They were joined by Miguel Márquez, president of the association of Barça supporters’ clubs from the province of Cordoba who hosted the event, plus representatives of most of the region’s clubs.

The reception showed once again that FC Barcelona has great regard for supporters’ clubs far and wide, organising receptions wherever one of the Club’s teams plays.
