2nd Members’ Solidarity Day to coincide with FC Barcelona v Alavés

The Club is asking Camp Nou season ticket holders to give up their seats for the R32 Kings Cup return leg free of charge, so that they can be distributed via charitable organisations

For the second year running, FC Barcelona is organising a Members’ Solidarity Day. This year it will be held on the day of the Cup match against Alavés in the Camp Nou, to be played at the end of November. It’s another chance for the membership to show their solidarity with others less fortunate than themselves through a pioneering campaign that enjoyed great success last season.

The Members’ Solidarity Day is based on one fundamental idea; the goodwill of the Camp Nou season ticket holders who give up their seats for a specific match so that they can be offered to groups of underprivileged people. The tickets will be distributed via the Social Services department, the Red Cross and a number of charitable organisations connected with the FC Barcelona Foundation.

FC Barcelona is calling on everyone to make this second Members’ Solidarity Day a great success, so that it reaches out to more organisations and more beneficiaries.

Once again, as a gesture of appreciation from the Club, there will be a draw amongst all season ticket holders who give up their seats for 10 tickets to the Presidential Box for the Alavés game as well as a shirt signed by all the first team players.

Cardoner: "We need the goodwill of the membership"

According to the Social Area vice-president, Jordi Cardoner, the first Members’ Solidarity Day “was a success that must be attributed to the Barça membership. The project is designed so that solidarity begins with our members”. He emphasised that the Club “will give every possible help” to guarantee its success and, in the name of FC Barcelona, called on members “to donate their seats to another citizen who will then have the chance to go to the Camp Nou. We need the goodwill of the membership to give up their seats and so make so many people happy”.

How can I donate my seat?

The Club will make it possible for members to donate their seats in a number of different ways: via the Club’s website, www.fcbarcelona.cat, by telephone 902 18 99 00 or in person at the OAB office, as well as at the offices and census stands from 8th November. Members can choose to free up their seat with the usual conditions of the ‘Seient Lliure’ or they can opt for Solidarity ‘Seient Lliure’ and donate their seat for the day.

Match tickets will be available at specifically reduced prices ranging from 5 to 21 euros for members and 9 to 41 euros for the general public.
