Barça-Chelsea: Wednesday, Champions League match at the Mini
The Miniestadi will host Barça and Chelsea’s U18 youth teams for the NextGen Series' one-match round of 16 playoff (18.00/Official Website, Barça TV, Esport3). The match will precede the Milan-Barça Champions League showdown by two hours and forty five minutes.
Barça’s U18 manager, Jordi Vinyals, expects the match to be difficult. “Chelsea have good players, especially in the midfield. In addition, Feruz can score goals, he’s fast and powerful,” said the manager this Tuesday after his team’s last training session before tomorrow’s match. Vinyals added: “we have to play our game, if we move the ball well we’ll have our chances.”
Only Sandro Ramírez will miss the match due to an injury to his meniscus.
Groups winners against third-place finishers
Barça’s U18 team won Group 1 with 11 points, ahead of Anderlecht (9 points), Tottenham (8 points) and Wolfsburg (4 points). Chelsea finished third in its group, behind CSKA Moscow and Ajax.
