A delegation associated with ‘L’Équipe’, Les Ancies de L’Équipe, paid a visit to FC Barcelona this weekend to learn more about the inner workings of the Club.

The delegation of ex-editors, journalists and directors was led by Gérard Ernault , ex-director of the French publication and current president of the Union des Journalists de Sport in France. He was accompanied by Jean-Jacques Vierne, editor-in-chief of ‘L’Équipe’ and editor-in-chief of ‘France Football’, Gilbert Chaleil, secretary general of the ‘L’Équipe’ group; Guy Mysl, secretary general of ‘L’Équipe’; Jean-Pierre Lacour, swimming and rugby information chief and former sports chief at ‘Figaro’, and Libert Tarragó, ex-journalis for ‘L’Équipe’ and FC Barcelona member.

The group visited FC Barcelona’s Centre of Documentation, the Barça Players’ Association - where they were hosted by vice-president Ferran Olivella - and the Barça Museum.

Ciutat Esportiva, Miniestadi and Camp Nou

On Saturday morning the group stopped by the Ciutat Esportiva, where they were received by Guillermo Amor. They watched a few of the scheduled matches, including the Barça’s Cadete A team take on Badalona.

That afternoon they went to the Miniestadi to watch Barça B take on Córdoba, hours later they attended the Camp Nou to watch the match between the senior side and Deportivo de la Coruña.
