The Superior Council for Sport has honoured the Club for its outstanding contribution to the promotion and encouragement of sport Sports stars Joel González and Radamel Falcao were among the other winners
FC Barcelona has won one of the National Sports Awards for 2012 presented by the Superior Council for Sport (CSD). They have collected the Copa Stadium, which is awarded to as person or club that has made an outstanding contribution over the year to promoting and fostering sport.
The winners were announced on Thursday. The jury, chaired by David Villaverde, is formed by different representatives of the CSD, the Spanish Olympic Committee, sports federations, regional governments, local corporations, the media and famous sportspeople.
Other CSD award winners include Olympic medallists Joel González and Marina Alabau, Atlético Madrid’s Radamel Falcao and València Bàsquet.
