Barça Alusport wins Spanish Cup (6-3)

Marc Carmona’s players had few problems against ElPozo Murcia in the final of the Spanish Cup and took the title for the third year in a row.

Toledo, Antequera and now Irún.  Three Spanish Cup finals and three trophies for Barça Alusport.  The team managed by Marc Carmona cruised to their third consecutive Spanish Cup against ElPozo Murcia.  Barça started strongly and after just three minutes a great counterattack by Fernandao and Jordi Torras ended with the captain putting the first goal on the scoreboard.

Down to work

From the start of the game, Barça Alusport was too strong for ElPozo and within ten minutes Sergio Lozano had made it 2-0.  A minute later Gabriel added a third from a corner taken by Igor.  ElPozo was reeling and a great solo effort by Igor made it 4-0 followed by a fifth in the 15th minute from Aicardo.

Tactical switch

ElPozo brought their goalkeeper into the game to try and reduce the five-goal gap and Paulinho was a little fortunate to score.  Cristian pulled off three saves in a minute from José Ruiz and Gréllo.

ElPozo fights back

ElPozo were a different team after the break and looked much more dangerous thanks to the tactical change.  In the 26th minute, Lolo Suazo got his team’s second and two minutes later Kike made it 5-3.

Once again, Cristian did well to preserve Barça Alusport’s lead and six minutes before the end Gabriel clinched the game with Barça’s sixth.

A fully deserved win for Barça Alusport, who continue to dominate the futsal Spanish Cup.
