Ajax win ahead of their visit to the Camp Nou (2-1)

Frank de Boer's men defeated Zwolle by 2 to 1 Celtic defeated Hearts (1-3) and they're just three points adrift from the league leaders

Frank de Boer’s Ajax defeated the Eredivise leaders, Zwolle, by 2 to 1 ahead of the midweek Champions League match against Barça. The match was very even, and the Amsterdam-based team were held to a draw until the last 20 minutes of the game. On the 72nd minute, Thulani Serero opened up the scoring. Only three minutes later, Maikel van der Werff scored an own goal for Ajax’s second. The visiting team pulled one back on the 89th minute thanks to a strike from Gioannis Gravenbeek.

Celtic aim for the top of the table

Barça’s other Champions League rival, Celtic, defeated Hearts by 1 to 3. The men managed by Neil Lennon took the lead on 19 minutes thanks to a penalty kick taken by Commons.

Hearts equalised early on in the second half (57 minutes), but Celtic were only held at bay for seven minutes. Stokes fired Celtic ahead in the 64th minute and in the 86th, Pukki doubled Celtic’s lead.
