FC Barcelona begin their Champions League 2013/14 campaign on Wednesday against Ajax at the Camp Nou. Manager Tata Martino has decided to name all 20 of his available players in the squad, with Pedro the main inclusion after being rested on Saturday against Sevilla, while Jordi Alba is now injured along with Puyol, Cuenca and Afellay. Goalkeeper Oier Olazábal is also left out of the list.
On Wednesday morning the team trained at the Ciutat Esportiva for the last time before the match, with Puyol able to do part of the work with his colleagues. The first team was also joined by Barça B’s Patric, S. Gomez, Ilie, Planas, Denis, Espinosa, Samper, Joan Román, Dani Nieto, Sandro and Lucas.

Isaac Cuenca also appeared on the field. In early June, the defender underwent arthroscopy on a meniscus injury in his right knee.
The players will be maintained the Champions League custom of staying in a hotel on the eve of the match, in this case Hotel Princesa Sofia. On Wednesday morning they will have one final training session, behind closed doors in the Camp Nou.
