5th Annual MuscleTech Network Meeting

The meeting is a reference point in the field and a chance for the top scientists and doctors working in the area to exchange the latest innovations in diagnosing and curing muscle, bone and tendon injuries.

Next Monday, October 14th at 9.00, the 5th Annual Meeting of the MuscleTech Network will be held over two days in the Auditori 1899 at the Clubat . The meeting is being organised by the FC Barcelona Foundation and the Centre Tecnològic Leitat and is supported by the Leo Messi Foundation, and participation by the Fundació FC Barcelona and the Fundación Leo Messi. The get together is a reference point in the field and a chance for the top scientists and doctors working in the area to exchange the latest innovations in diagnosing and curing muscle, bone and tendon injuries.

The meeting starts on Monday with the official opening led by Jordi Monés, director of the FC Barcelona medical department, Eusebi Cima, president of the Centre Tecnològic Leitat, Dr. Xavier Gassó, director of healthcare management at Egarsat, Ivan Tibau, Secretary General of Sport of the Generalitat de Catalunya and Xavier Amador, director of Institutrional Relations in the area of quality of life and sport at the Barcelona Municipal Council.

Jordi Monés to lead Club representatives

As well as Jordi Monés, Club doctors Gil Rodas, Lluís Til, Ricard Pruna, Daniel Medina and Xavier Yanguas will attend, along with the world’s top experts in muscle  and tendon injuries, with more than 200 international professionals expected to attend.

MuscleTech Network has organised this meeting with the objective of opening out debate on the issue of muscle and tendon investigation and how to apply scientific research and evidence to the clinical field.

MuscleTech Network is a network which dedicated to promoting research and communication between scientists and medical professionals working throughout the world, in hospitals, universities and centres of investigation to ensure the latest scientific breakthroughs become real curative tools for patients.

Over the last four years MuscleTech has been involved in 12 separate investigative projects which have served to communicate scientific results with the aim of creating new treatments for injuries, the improvement of sports medicine, the promotion of healthy sports and the issue of social implication in the muscle and tendon  fields.
