Bartra makes winning international debut (1-2)

The Barça defender played the full 90 minutes in Malabo Busquets, Iniesta and Pedro also had run outs against Equatorial Guinea Goals from Cazorla and Juanfran sealed the win for Vicente Del Bosque’s team

Spain beat Equatorial Guinea 2-1 on Saturday in Malabo (1-2) with goals from Cazorla and Juanfran in the first half.  Barça’s Marc Bartra, a last-minute addition to the squad after Cesc Fàbregas had to pull out injured, made a winning start to his full international career.

Bartra was the only Barça player to feature in the starting line-up and was still on the pitch at the final whistle.  Spain dominated throughout the game and went ahead in the 13th minute when Cazorla took advantage of a goalkeeping error.

EquatorialGuineagot a surprising equaliser in the 36th minute through Jimmy Bermúdez but Juanfran put the visitors back in front just before halftime.

At the end of the first half, Busquets replaced the injured Xabi Alonso.

Iniesta and Pedro came on in the second half in the 56th and 65th minutes respectively but Valdés remained on the subs bench.

Despite having a number of chances to increase their lead, Spain had to be satisfied with a narrow 1-2 victory.
