Neymar helps Brazil to victory over Honduras (5-0)
The Barça striker played 66 minutes of Brazil’s 5-0 win in Miami while Dani Alves was rested
Brazil sent out a strong message to other World Cup hopefuls this weekend with a 5-0 rout of Honduras in a friendly played in Miami. The two Barça players included in the Brazil squad enjoyed mixed fortunes with Neymar Jr. on the pitch for 66 minutes while Dani Alves was rested.
Neymar was a handful for the Honduran defence throughout – taking part in the build-up to the second goal - and was on the receiving end of some tough tackling. The game was fairly balanced in the first half – Honduras trailed by a single goal at the break - but Brazil piled on the pressure in the second half. The Brazil goals came from Bernard, Dante, Maicon, Willian and Hulk.
Brazil’s next match is against Alexis Sanchez’s Chile on Tuesday inToronto (Canada).
