January 2013 will be remembered as a great moment for the supporters club movement Worldwide. We reached 100,000 followers on Twitter, and 200.000 fans on the Facebook fan page.

FC Barcelona has about 90 million followers on various official accounts of all social networks, becoming the undisputed leader in this respect, and being the most loved club on the net. The Club has pioneered several activities, like the first Q&A session with Cesc Fabregas late last November.

Teamwork

Reaching 300.000 followers between Facebook and Twitter has strengthened the supporters club movement with regard to new technologies. A useful tool to interact with, but especially to provide first hand information, with the intention to get to as many people possible very quickly.

This is all thanks to the work of all levels and parties involved in the movement. The Communications and Marketing Committee, comprised of Board members, began the great endeavour, which was later ratified by, at that time, the Advisory Council. The Social Area had no doubt in joining together with the representatives of the movement in their commitment to social networks.

Once again, it demonstrates that not only is the movement more alive than ever, but that it also continues to grow globally. FC Barcelona is continuing to promote its model and values via the network.
