Manchester City drew with Blackburn Rovers in the opening round of the FA Cup. Manuel Pellegrini’s men failed to defeat the Blue and Whites in the 1/32 round of the competition, which means City will host Blackburn in for the rematch at Etihad Stadium later this month.
0-1 before the break
City, despite dominating most of the first half, were unable to score until right before the conclusion of the first half. Negredo netted the opener with fantastic volley after a pass from Dzeko, the former England keeper Paul Robinson could do nothing to save the strike.
With ten minutes to go before the conclusion of the match, Dann, who took advantage of a rebound from Pantilimon, scored the equaliser. The 1-1 result means that the match will be replayed at the Etihad.
