Cajasol – FC Barcelona -the win is what counts(57-62)
FC Barcelona beat Cajasol de Sevilla 57-62 this Sunday thanks to a last quarter fight back from a five point deficit, with Abrines' accuracy with the three pointers proving key to winning what was in general a poor game.
Slow start
In a low scoring, error strewn game, Barça seemed to be paying the price for their European efforts against Unicaja in midweek. Cajasol looked to Satoransky to direct the plays, Balvin on the rebounds and Bamforth to rack up the points, bu teh 15-18 score after the first quarter and the 34-34 tie at the break were a fair reflection of the lack of accuracy in the game.
Winning is all
The most important thing when things aren't going right though, is simply to get the win - that's the sign of a great team and although they were 48.43 down going into the final quarter, Pascual's side never gave up and with Álex Abrines on target with the three pointers they pulled back to 54-55 with three minutes to go before another three pointer took them to 57-60, finishing on 57-62 and claiming win number 12 of the first half of the season.
