"We will play with our style and personality"

The Chilean manager says that his team "will be the same team that we see in the Premier League"

Manuel Pellegrini revealed what he believes is the key to tomorrow’s Champions League match between Manchester City and FC Barcelona. “The most important thing is being able to be the same team that play every week in the Premier, with the same style and personality,” said the manager this Monday. “You will see the same team, perhaps with different players, but the style will be the same,” he added.

When asked about his players, the Chilean revealed that Ferandinho would be included in the team for tomorrow’s showdown: “He has a chance to play, he trained without any trouble with the team.” The Brazilian, who up until today was recovering from injury, hasn’t played since January 29. Fernandinho and Zabaleta are one card away from suspension, while Milner will complete his one-match ban tomorrow.

On the other hand, Pellegrini confirmed that Sergio Agüero would miss the match, noting that “he’s not ready,” but that he would likely play against Stoke City this weekend.

When asked about Barça, Pellegrini was clear that Messi isn’t the only threat his men need to be wary of: “Barça are not just Messi, even though he is the best player in the world.”
