Jordi Alba is one of the main absentees from the 18-man squad picked to face Real Sociedad on Saturday night at Anoeta (8.00 PM CET). The player is still having trouble with his right hamstring and has therefore been rested as a precautionary measure. Martino has also decided not to select any of Afellay, Puyol, Sergi Roberto, Cuenca or Oier.
Barça trained this morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Everyone was there apart from Jordi Alba, who did specific work in the gym, and Isaac Cuenca, who exercised separately. However, Alba was there for the start of the session to listen to Tata Martino’s team-talk.
The team will fly to San Sebastian on Saturday morning.
