The Barça president, who watch the UEFA Youth League final in person, is pleased with the team's victory and he noted that “this is an acknowledgment to the hard work put in at La Masia”

Josep María Bartomeu, who accompanied Barça’s Juvenil A team in the final of the UEFA Youth League, said that “Barça’s approach is to form players and we want to reach the highest heights.” In addition, the FC Barcelona president went on to congratulate the team and the coaching staff for winning the title: “At Barça we take care of formation. We’re doing a magnificent job and I congratulate everyone that’s involved in this work.”

Bartomeu also talked about the team’s fantastic players: “We have a lot of talent in this team. Our talent won out, we have great players, we saw incredible plays and great goals. These players need to stay in training, play and go up to Barça B. They play our style of football.” Finally, Bartomeu said that today’s title is an acknowledgment to “the hard work put in at Barça’s youth system.”

Vinyals: “We played a great game”

The Juvenil A manager, Jordi Vinyals, is pleased and satisfied with today’s victory, but he also admitted that his men didn’t put in their best performance: “We didn’t have the greatest of games, we lost possession and that isn’t normal. The pressure of the final, in addition to the pressure that our rivals applied, made us lose too many balls.” He added that “we were convincing, we defended their long passes well and we played a great game against a difficult rival.”
