FC Barcelona put in a brilliant performance at the Buesa Arena to ensure a place in the league playoff semi-finals, where they will play either València Bàsquet or Cajasol.
Barça were in charge from the start, looking focussed and determined as they raced to a seven point lead. The Basques hit back though and actually led 13-12, but a three pointer from Lampe and another score from Dorsey ensured the visitors went in 19-21 up at the end of the first quarter.
The Dorsey-Lampe combination clicked in the second quarter too, as Barça took a 21-33 lead helped as usual by some three pointers from Juan Carlos Navarro, who became the maximum scorer of three pointers in the competition with 232, as his team cruised to a 37-49 advantage at the break.
Barça continued to rack up the points in the third quarter and were also able to slow down the game as Laboral Kutxa tried to mount a comeback, stretching their lead to 20 points as the game entered the final 10 minutes and not letting up for a moment till the end, running out clear 71-95 winners to ensure a semi-final match up with the winner of the València Bàsquet and Cajasol quarter final.
