The Gamper, Supporters Clubs grand event!

As already announced, the Joan Gamper Trophy this year will be held on August 18. Barça’s rivals will be Club León Guanajato, where Rafa Marquez is the star.

An historic and decisive congress

As usual, in the days prior to The Gamper, the Supporters Clubs will be the protagonists, in the Camp Nou installations. Thus, the XXXV Supporters Clubs World Congress will be held on 17th and 18th of August. The first day will be a working day, whilst on the 18th the institutional day will end with the traditional gala lunch.

During the Congress, accredited attendees will discuss and decide the direction the movement should take in the coming years. Thus, and in a democratic way, the supporters club members will agree on the new challenges presented in the keynote speech, which is predicting an exciting future. This Congress will be historic because it will be the first with the new format, following the criteria of representation for each territorial federation.

The Camp Nou, meeting place

During these days, there will also be time for fun, reunions, and celebrations. The XXXVII Supporters Clubs World Congress will take place at the Camp Nou installations. Dinners, speeches, and all types of activities mean that not a minute will be wasted. Between the 15th and 18th of August, supporters clubs will enjoy a few days in a total Barça environment, with a view to be able to start the 2014-15 season strongly, and sow the seeds of many sporting successes.

In addition, various competitions and parallel activities for the supporters will also take place. The Supporters Club Football Games, aimed at younger supporters, and the Supporters Clubs Butifarra card games, that were consolidated last season, are two of the highlights of the weekend which is expected to be long and intense. The classic International Supporters Club 7-a-side Football Tournament for infants and Benjamin will also be held, now in its ninth year, meaning that the kids will also be able to enjoy the festival of sport.
