Alex Song, called up by Cameroon for the World Cup

The midfielder is the 11th Barça player called up for the World Cup in Brazil, and we're just waiting for the Argentina squad list

Alex Song will be playing in the World Cup 2014. This Monday, Cameroon manager, Volker Finke, has called up the Barça midfielder in the 23 player squad for the great event. At 26 years old, Brazil will be the first World Cup for Alex Song.

So, 11 FC Barcelona stars have now been officially called up. Song joins the list made up of the two Brazilians (Alves and Neymar), seven Spaniards (Piqué, Alba, Sergio, Xavi, Iniesta,  Pedro, and Cesc), and one Chilean (Alexis). We are now awaiting the Argentinian squad call-up, where Mascherano and Messi are certain to be included.

The full Cameroon squad is: Itandje, Ndjock, Feudjou, Nyom, Djeugou, Nounkeu, Chedjou, Nkoulou, Bedimo, Assou-Ekotto, Eyong, Makoun, Matip, Mbia, N'guemo, Song, Salli, Eto'o, Choupo, Moukandjo, Aboubakar, Webo, and Olinga
