Ajax had a round of 16 cup match this week, and easily won 9-0 against lower league outfit Watergraafsmeer. Milik got no fewer than six goals in the rout, with Andersen, Kishna and Menig adding the others to send them flying into the next round.
APOEL, who lost 1-0 at the Camp Nou in the first group match, won their league fixture with another of Cyprus’ top teams, Anorthosis, 2-0 thanks to second half goals from Manduca and Aloneftis. APOEL stay top of the Cypriot championship with four wins out of four.
